It is an unbelievable 36 years since the Gothic Society was founded in August 1990. It ran for eight and a half years, ending in December 1998 after 35 magazines and numerous other publications. I was Managing Editor, and as such I was the one who gave the Society the kiss of death because other pressing matters had come to claim my interest and attention. The days of the small press were drawing to an end with the advent of the internet.
